Our Approach

MVMC provides a network for Mahoning Valley manufacturers to identify common needs and problem-solve with their partners, sharing ideas and resources to develop a skilled workforce. We do this by:

  • Aggregating the needs of industry, identifying the skills necessary for current employees and the future workforce to succeed
  • Identifying solutions and establishing common priorities
  • Convening, aligning and coordinating partners, based on strengths and resources
  • Increasing awareness of manufacturing career pathways and opportunities to enter and succeed in skilled, high-wage occupations
  • Ensuring relevance and quality of programming to industry needs through manufacturer input and industry recognized credentials

Our Members

MVMC today includes more than 60 local manufacturers who are collaborating with our education and workforce partners to find solutions to grow the Mahoning Valley economy. MVMC’s education partners include Choffin Career and Technical Center, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana County career centers, Eastern Gateway Community College, Youngstown State University, and Kent State University Trumbull Campus.
